Spring Giveaway Jubilee Giveaway

I'm connecting with Sarah at Hope in Every Season, for her Spring Giveaway Jubilee.  She and others are offering giveaways during the month of March.  How can I resist joining in on the fun?  I'm offering a vintage rose perfume label image ornament, a wee sparkly ice cream cone trinket box (the ice cream part lifts up off the cone!), and a sparkling vintage rhinestone "leaf" pin.  I'll choose a winner March 31.

Hot Tea Month Giveaway

As promised, I'm having a giveaway in honor of January--Hot Tea Month.  It certainly has been cold here lately in Wisconsin, and today we are expecting more snow.  This is definitely a day for a hot cup of tea (or two...or three).  I'm giving away a pretty teacup and saucer found on one of my hunts for vintage treasures.   It has pretty scattered bunches of flowers and roses on a white background. 

The package of hot tea is new, of course, and is a yummy red tea that I recently discovered (I take mine with a dollop of honey).   Finally I've made four thumbtacks.  Three are reproduction tea labels and the fourth is a 3-D vintage brass teacup charm with a brown glass cabochon in it to look like it is full of tea.

A New Year to Come

So thankful for God's blessings in the past year and looking forward to the year ahead.  I hope to please and serve Him better. 

There are new projects in the works, and I'm excited to work on them...if only I had more time!  I ordered these beads recently from a man in China.  They were expensive, and I was a little anxious about spending the money...not certain they would come...not able to track them in any way.  However, thankfully they DID come...in good time too.  They are just beautiful.  I'm pleased and can't wait to create with them. 
Thank you for following me and taking the time to read what I say and for your sweet comments.  They are appreciated more than you know.  I'm thinking of a giveaway soon, so keep an eye out for a future post. Happy, blessed 2012 to you all.

Well, it's my 500th post.  Hard to believe.  Here I thought when I first began blogging that I wouldn't have anything to say and that no one would be interested enough to read whatever it was that I said!  Many, many thanks to my followers and those of you who come by to see what I've been up to and for all of you who take the time to leave a comment.  I so appreciate it!  So....

Cottage Charm Giveaway

Announcing my giveaway goodies for The Twice Remembered Cottage's 5th Annual Cottage Charm Giveaway. I participated the last two years and couldn't wait to participate again this year. New Bottles

I'm having such a grand time working on perfume bottles. One of my favorites has sold (see the apple blossom one a few posts down)...but two more have been listed, and I'm working on others (I'll have to make sure to do a post on the purple and lavender one!). Here are the two most recent additions.

This one reminds me of spring with its white flowers and butterfly. Of course the pastel-colored rhinestones are always a favorite.

This one features two crowns and is fit for anyone who likes royal pretties. I like the deep, rich ruby colors, the pearls, and those rhinestones!

Vintage Style Valentine Giveaway

This giveaway is for the vintage romantic at heart! Included in the giveaway is a pretty vintage handkerchief with red and pink flowers and a blue ribbon in a cut-away pattern. There are also three thumbtacks--one vintage jewelry piece, one vintage guilloche piece, and one vintage image piece.

Also there is a vintage image Valentine pin with a French boy and girl, plenty of pink roses, and the words "Love's Greeting" on it. It is enhanced with superfine glitter in pink and green on those roses. Finally there is a dangling pair of vintage screw-back earrings that feature white plastic flowers with rhinestone centers.

400th Post Interpretative Swap and Giveaway

Time to get your button jars out and find some of your most interesting buttons. I decided to have some fun for my 400th post and this is it....

I'm going to host an interpretative button swap. You will find one button representing what each month of the year MEANS TO YOU and send the 12 buttons to your partner telling her (or him, I suppose) why you chose each button. For example...in my picture above....


January--rhinestone button that looks like a firework to celebrate New Years
February--heart button for Valentine's Day
March--button with music notes for when we start to hear the birds sing in the spring
April--swirly blue button for all the rain we usually get in April
May--green flower button...the green grass and flowers are out in full
June--time to find sea shells on the beach
July--the roses and flowers are beautiful this time of year
August--memories of being on "the boat" with my grandparents in Maine
September--a letter "A"...time for school
October--big round orange pumpkins
November--a wooden button...all we see is wood on the trees now, no leaves
December--a clear, icy-looking button for all the snow and ice that comes



Now, your reasons and representative buttons can be completely different...perhaps you got married in October so you would have a pearl button like your dress had; maybe you celebrate Hanukkah and have a blue and silver button for December; or a swirly button for September to represent all the hurricanes you've seen. What could be more fun than a giveaway? This one is hosted by Lollishops and is flea market themed.
My giveaway is for for a mint green powder tin (some of the powder is still in it) with a guilloche rose on the top; a pair of screw-back, white-beaded earrings; and an aqua purse zipper clip (something to clip onto that purse of yours when you go flea market shopping!). Just Because...

Dear hubby brought these home yesterday...just because! Isn't he sweet? I'm always thankful for a bouquet of roses (you know I love roses)...especially when they smell great too as these do.
