Finished Watching Cranford

Hubby and I just finished the last of the five episodes of Cranford last night after renting it out. I had never seen it before and enjoyed it. My dear hubby suffered through it but liked the fact that it moved right along and switched to so many different sub stories throughout the hour (though...of all scenes...he fell asleep during the moment when the different ladies thought the doctor was going to marry them!). It was sort of sad...so many of the good people dying off who I really liked in the film. I especially enjoyed the life of Mattie, of course, and the compelling relationship between Mr. Carter and the boy. It was a good watch and would recommend it to all (just have a tissue box handy), and I'm looking forward to watching the Return to Cranford....in awhile though...after my husband has fully recovered from watching this one!

Hi Michele!
Well, at least your husband sat through it with you...mine would not have had the patience! I loved the series though and understand why you feel just a wee bit sad when it ended...you kind of feel like you knew them all! I hope you are enjoying your spring. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ha,ha! I know! My husband says that he wishes that they would speak "English"! He says that these shows are the perfect sleep aid! I loved Cranford, as I love all the Masterpiece Theater offerings! Did you see Emma and Persuasion? Love them!

My hubby would sleep thru any movie, but I appreciate his presence(?) ... glad you enjoyed the series.

Have a beautiful week.

Dear Michele, I am so pleased that you got to see this lovely series...it was on during the winter months. I really enjoyed it with a hot drink and curled up on my sofa :o) You will enjoy the other series too.

God bless your weekend.
