Giveaways from some Friends...

The first is a "Double Giveaway". You actually have to choose which giveaway you'd like. Yes, I found it hard to choose since both are wonderful (but in the end couldn't resist the teacup one). This "Double Giveaway" can be found on Marydon's blog at Feedsack Fantasy/Blushing Rose Boutique. The second giveaway is some beautiful material given away on the blog, Fabricartist21. I order to enter this giveaway, you must check out her Etsy shop--www.fabricartist21.etsy.com--(but it's worth it!). I like her "Romantic Raggy Quilt with Matching Pillow". Well, you know I like roses, and this one is gorgeous! I can imagine curling up with a cup of tea and a good magazine filled with romantic decor with this quilt keeping me warm. Anyway, have fun entering these giveaways!

Giveaway Goodies from Zany Mayd...

...just thought I'd share with you the fun goodies Cheryl from Zany Mayd sent. I'm just tickled pink with each item. First are little trading cards with beautiful roses on them.
Next are tiny little boxes just beckoning to be made into something. Looks like they originally held little watch parts or something.
Then there are Bible verse cards...the ones that are small enough to put by the bathroom mirror or the kitchen sink so that the verse can be worked on and memorized throughout the day.
Next is a beautiful old box with small, glass vials in it. The box is old and lovely. Some of the vials hold little bitty parts--watch parts perhaps.
I love the old children's Sunday school papers--lessons to give to children but for all ages.
Finally, there is another beautiful little box with more tiny brass bits in it (again, could be watch bits). It's gorgeous!
I'm overwhelmed with such a nice giveaway. It inspires me in many different ways, and I will enjoy each bit. Thank you, Cheryl! She is hosting another giveaway. Why not check out her blog, Zany Mayd, to see what she is offering next.

A Pretty Marie Antionette Gift in the Mail

I love getting mail...nice, pleasant mail....mail that you don't have to send back to anyone with, like, a big check in it...mail that gives good news...that kind of mail. Unfortunately this doesn't happen too often, but, you know, it happened the other day. Cassandra was having a Marie Antionette giveaway on her blog giving away a few of these lovelies (pictured above). It was just great to win one. Isn't her business card just beautiful? I'm so impressed. Well, her other offerings are just as impressive. Check out her shop and what she has to offer here (it's worth the trip)>>>>My Beau Papier Shoppe. Thanks, Cassandra, for the pretties. ; )

Kim at One Woman's Cottage Life is sponsoring her 3rd annual Cottage Charm Giveaway. Lovely Necklace Received

Although I didn't have a whole lot of time to participate in other's parties, the Lollishops' "All Dolled Up" party was great fun. Sadie of http://craftilyeverafter.blogspot.com won my charm which has since been mailed off. I won a lovely 1928 necklace from Karen at http://charmingscollectibles.blogspot.com (you may see a picture of the pretty necklace on her blog). I received it yesterday in the mail, and it is gorgeous. Thank you, Karen! While you are at it check out what these ladies have to offer in their shops which are listed on their blogs.

Lollishops All Dolled Up Party

This is a Valentine's Day progressive blog party featuring Lollishops vendors. Fabulous giveaways will be offered during this event. You will find a list of all the participating vendors on the Itty Bitty Birdie blog.
*************
Here are the rules:
1. Visit each blog listed on the Itty Bitty Birdie blog.
2. Find the "All Dolled Up" picture on each blog. In each vendor's picture is something from that vendor's Lollishop (go ahead and look at the vendor's shop to make sure you found the right thing).
3. Make a comment under the doll-themed post at each blog saying "I found it!" (make sure we know who you are in case you win).
4. If you win, you must tell the vendor what it was that you found in their picture.
5. Oh, check out the Lollishops blog too--a gift basket is up for grabs and a TREASURE HUNT too!
************
Above is my doll (it was my grandmother's) having a Valentine's Day tea party. Look closely at what she is wearing then check out my shop at www.lollishops.com/glassbeadtreasures to see the item from my shop that I have hidden in the doll picture. Leave a comment below saying "I found it!" and a way to get a hold of you.
On the teacup picture above is the charm that I will be giving away to whoever tells me "I found it!" and whose name I draw. (Sorry, the giveaway is for the charm only!) The charm features a delicate, milky, light pink glass bead flower beside small iridescent white glass bead flowers and glass olive drop beads. Best wishes to everyone. Have fun!

Latest Projects

Well, I've finished some projects--mostly swaps and a giveaway that had decided to enter. Creating these things has been such fun. I didn't want to post these pictures before now. I didn't want to steal Tammy's thunder at Milk and Cookeez nor did I want the recipients of the other things to know what they were getting before they got them! The charm with the sparkling clear flowers and pink Swarovski crystal butterfly was part of the Milk and Cookeez "9 days of 2009" giveaway. A lovely lady named Cindi won that, and I will hopefully get it out to her today if I can get to the post office before it closes. The brooch I made for a very nice lady named Alaura (check out her beautiful blog called Cottage Rose--LOVE the name!) as part of Heidi's Very Vintage Swap. I had a lot of fun designing her brooch (the picture here was taken rather quickly, so it's not the best quality) and putting her box of Valentine lovelies together. The box also included a Valentine box I decorated, tea mug, hankey, tea, and other bits. I just love putting boxes together with lots of little things in them. Guess I get it from my old gift basket days. And, finally the box of charms went to Trish for the "Romancing the Charm" swap on The Tattered Rose. Each participant was to make a charm that somehow represents Valentine's Day. I chose to use pink, red, and white flower beads--the colors of Valentine's Day. It has all been much fun. There are other projects in the works. Please check on the column to the right for buttons pointing to those.
